Hi, I'm Maria 👋🏻

For most of my career, I thought I knew exactly what I wanted to do. Over the last couple of years, that became a much more interesting question.

I gave myself space to explore — building a research agency, collaborating globally, getting a Master's in Fine Art, and exploring what AI changes about the way we build products. Somewhere along the way, I realised I enjoy moving between strategy, research, design and building far more than staying inside one discipline. I also realised I'm happiest when I can stay with a product long enough to help shape where it goes next.

These days, I care much less about having the perfect title and much more about working with kind, curious people on problems worth solving.

I'm still learning, too. Mostly how to trust my own judgement sooner, tell clearer stories, and spend less time waiting until everything feels perfect before putting it into the world.

Alongside working in tech, I make abstract paintings and exhibit in London. I also have a degree in psychoanalysis. I'm beginning to suspect every decade comes with a new subject to study. Looking back, they're all different ways of trying to understand people — and how they make sense of the world.
